I've added a compat definition so the egg builds again and doesn't pollute the Salmonella output or this ticket tracker. If it causes any more trouble, we should really consider deleting it. There are no docs, and nothing depends on it.

Maybe we should move this egg to "deprecated", or remove it altogether. It isn't used by anyone and its author is no longer active in the community.
